All the District Educational Ofcers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are informed that PM SHRI (PM Schools for Rising India) is a new centrally sponsored scheme. In the
initiative, it is intended to prepare selected existing schools as PM SHRI schools which will showcase the implementation of all the aspects of the NEP 2020 and emerge as exemplar schools over a period of time. Under the scheme, over 14,500 PM SHRI Schools will be established all across the country by providing them with dedicated, targeted and all inclusive interventions to ensure holistic transformation at all levels.
It is further informed that the MoE, GoI has approved 662 schools (list enclosed) in the state of Andhra Pradesh and issued instructions to create a separate Single Nodal Agency (SNA) account for PM SHRI schools for funding of the PM SHRI scheme.
Therefore the District Educational Ofcers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the state are requested issue necessary instructions to the concerned PM SHRI school Head Masters to open separate Zero Balanced Accounts in Union Bank of India in the name of (PM SHRI – (SCHOOL NAME)). There shall be a separate account for PM SHRI. Further, any other account already exists with the school shall not be mapped as PM SHRI Account.
