SBI CBO 2021 Exam Date
The selection of an SBI Circle Based Officer will be based on a Computer based online exam and interview. Steps to Apply Online for SBI CBO 2021 Exam
Below we have discussed the complete SBI CBO Apply Online 2021 procedure to help you in filling the application form with an ease.
Step 1- Visit the official website of State Bank of India @sbi.co.in or click on the SBI CBO Apply Online Link which is provided above.
Step 2- On the bottom left corner of the homepage, click on the “Careers” option.
Step 3- A new page with URL- https://sbi.co.in/web/careers opens.
Step 4- Click on the JOIN SBI link on the menubar and then click on the “Current Openings” tab.
Step 5- Search for “Recruitment of Circle Based Officer (Advertisement No. CRPD/ CBO/ 2021-22/19)” in the Current Opening section and then click on it.
Step 6- Click for “Apply Online”, then a new page appears on the screen.
Step 7- Click on the NEW REGISTRATION button provided on the topmost right corner.
Step 8- Start your application process for SBI CBO 2021 by providing your basic details such as name, contact number, email id, address etc. and click on the save and next button.
Step 9- Login with the registration ID and password generated.
Step 10- Upload your photograph and signature in the required format as provided by the State Bank of India.
The permissible size of the photograph must be 4.5 cm * 3.5 cm and the photograph must be of passport size with white background. Both the photograph and the signature must be clear and legible. Permissible file size of the photograph must be of minimum 20 KB and of maximum 50 KB and that of the signature must be of minimum 10 KB and of maximum 20 KB.

Points to know before applying online
• The candidate will have to apply for a vacancy in one State only. A candidate applying against a vacancy of one State will not be eligible to apply against a vacancy of any other State.
• Candidature of the applicant will be considered only against the vacancies in the State for which he/ she has applied/ opted. Merit list will be drawn State wise, category wise.
• Selected candidates will be posted in the Circle of that State against whose vacancy they are selected.
• The selected candidates will not be entitled to inner-circle transfer up to his/ her promotion to SMGS-IV Grade OR 12 years of service, whichever is later.
SBI CBO 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of any bank exam depend on Educational Qualification, Age Limit, Experience, Local Language etc. A detailed analysis of these factors are given below:
SBI CBO Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University in India or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
SBI CBO Age Limit
Not above 30 years as on 01.12.2021 i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.12.1991.
SBI CBO Age Relaxation

SBI Circle Based Officer Experience
Bad news for all fresh graduates because SBI is demanding a minimum of 2 years’ experience (as on 01.12.2021) as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank / any Regional Rural Bank.
SBI CBO Local Language
Candidates applying for vacancies of a State have to produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specific local language of the applied State as one of the subjects.
SBI CBO Selection Process
The selection process of SBI CBO will be based on Online Computer Based Test and Interview. However, Bank reserves the right to conduct a written examination. The Shortlisting Committee constituted by the Bank will decide the shortlisting parameters and thereafter, an adequate number of candidates, as decided by the Bank will be shortlisted and called for interview. The decision of the bank to call the candidates for the interview shall be final. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
Merit List: Merit list for selection of SBI Circle Based Officer 2021 exam will be prepared in descending order on the basis of scores obtained in interview only.
Merit list will be drawn State wise, category wise. In case more than one candidate scores the cut-off marks (common marks at cut-off point), such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order, in the merit.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:
There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, 1/4th of marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. if no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

SBI CBO Salary 2021
As per the official SBI CBO Notification 2021, the initial salary of a “Circle Based Officers” (CBOs) will be in the scale of JMGS-I (36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2- 49910-1990/7-63840), at the start of the scale i.e. Rs. 36,000/- plus one increment for each completed year of service rendered in officer cadre in the Scheduled Commercial Bank and Regional Rural Bank, as on 01.12.2021.
The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.
SBI CBO Career Path
After joining, the selected candidates will be designated as “Circle Based Officers” (CBOs) and will be on probation for a period of 6 months.
The CBOs will be subjected to continuous assessment during the probation period for judging their suitability for confirmation. The candidates who qualify in their assessment as per standards determined by the Bank from time to time will be confirmed in the service of the Bank in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). If any candidate fails to achieve the minimum standards stipulated, his/ her services may be terminated as per the policy of the Bank in force at the material time.
The selected officers will be in the general cadre and will be governed by the promotion policy applicable for Bank’s general cadre officers. The selected candidates will not be entitled to inner-circle transfer up to his/ her promotion to SMGS-IV Grade OR 12 years of service, whichever is later.
SBI CBO 2021 Admit Card
State Bank of India has announced that the online test will be held in January 2022 and the call letter for the same will be issued on 12th January 2022. The candidates have to carry a hard copy of their SBI CBO Admit Card to the exam hall which can be downloaded only from the official website of SBI @sbi.co.in.
SBI CBO 2021 Result
Once the SBI CBO 2021 Exam is over, the State Bank of India will announce the roll numbers of the candidates who are qualified for the next phase of the selection process. The SBI CBO Result will be published on the official website & candidates can check their results from there only. No SMS or mail will be sent to the candidates in regards of their qualifying status.
